Tie-Breaking Procedures
The following tie-breaking procedures will be used to determine standings and trophy distribution.
If two teams are tied, the first tie-breaking criteria is head to head comparison. If the teams split during the regular season, their records against the team occupying the highest place in the standings will be compared. If a tie remains, records will be compared with the team occupying the second highest place in the standings and so on. If a tie remains, a coin toss will be used. (exception: If the two teams are tied for first place and the teams, split during the regular season, a one-game playoff will be held to determine who receives first place trophies.)
In the case of three teams with the same record, overall head to head records are compared. If a tie remains, records against the highest team in the standings are considered. If a tie remains, records will be compared with the team occupying the second highest place in the standings and so on. If a tie remains, a coin toss will be used. (Exception: If the three teams are tied for first place and the teams, split during the regular season, a playoff will be held to determine who receives first place trophies.)
