The Eden Family YMCA has been involved in our Community for over 100 years. At the Y, we believe that when people come together for a common cause, the whole community is strengthened. When you become a volunteer, you have the opportunity to share your blessings with those who need it most. Whether you mentor a student on the verge of dropping out, coach a team to their personal best or become a friend to an isolated senior, your time and talent changes lives.
The YMCA aims to provide everyone – staff, volunteers, young people, users – with opportunities for personal development. So volunteering at the YMCA is about more than giving time and sharing skills. It gives you the chance to learn about others, build new friendships, develop new skills, confidence and most importantly express Christian faith in action.
Staff members depend on the extra hands you bring to the various tasks you perform. You bring added value to your area of interest and help make each special event a little more special. The children and adults that participate in our programs and services will look to you as a role model and someone who can provide guidance to them. Your presence says you care about your Y!
